Prison Ministry is often an untapped mission field. The Tomah Baptist Church Prison / Jail Ministry helps not only the men, women, and juveniles in prison, but also their families, the prison staff, and those who have recently been released.
Incarceration Clock
PRISON MINISTRY is designed to bring the life-changing message of the gospel to men and women who are incarcerated in our local city and county jails. This is accomplished through:
CHAPEL SERVICES:
TBC holds regular Chapel Services each week at our local juvenile detention centers and jails. These services include worship, Bible study, prayer and one-on-one fellowship whenever possible.
BIBLE STUDY:
We can target sin as the root of every crime. Only a true faith in Christ can put a stop to the cycle of sin in a prisoner's life. We believe every inmate's life is redeemable through Christ. Our goal is to reach as many inmates as possible with this message. The Bible reminds us that God's love and forgiveness is available to all who will call on Him with a pure heart.
PRAYER SUPPORT:
We believe prayer is very important to an inmate and his family. Through prayer God gives them the strength they need to endure temptation and live a holy life, both in and outside of prison.
DISCIPLESHIP:
Our desire is to help Christian inmates take the important steps necessary for good discipleship. We want to equip Christian inmates to share their faith with others and to demonstrate the importance of becoming obedient followers of Jesus Christ. This will result in them becoming productive and contributing members of their families, churches and communities where they will be living.
VISITATIONS:
In order to encourage those who are incarcerated, we make personal visitations* upon request.
*Please note that visitations are limited only to facilities in our area.
VOLUNTEERS:
This ministry would not exist if it were not for committed Christian volunteers who willingly give of themselves for the men and women in our prison system. If you would like to become a part of the Tomah Baptist Prison Ministry, please pick up a brochure in the church office or email us. |
