Sunday Bible Study Feature: From Eden to Egypt (Studies in Genesis)
From Eden to Egypt examines the promises God made to Abraham and his descendants, but it also gives us an opportunity to see His faithfulness in periods before Abraham's life and in periods after his life. This faithfulness stands in sharp contrast to human failure and therefore magnifies God's relentless activity in the lives of Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph. God provided redemption for sin, strength in times of weakness, protection in times of peril, joy in times of sorrow, guidance in times of confusion, wisdom in times of uncertainty, peace in times of trouble, and His presence at all times.
As we study the pages of Genesis, we will see that the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph is the same God for us today as well. The promises He made so long ago are irrevocable. So are His promises to us. Nothing can offset those promises or persuade God to withdraw them--not even human failure. As a result, we can face each new day triumphantly by faith with the strong assurrance that God will fulfuill His purposes.
Join us Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m., as the teens through adults travel from Eden to Egypt. Our hope and desire is that this Bible study will help each of you learn to stand on the promises of God!
